Our Journey to Audrey Biscotti Textiles + Printery was fast and furious! It truly began with the start of my sewing company, A+B Co Handmade. I had six month old twins and I needed an outlet in the evenings that still felt fun and most importantly creative. My grandma was an avid quilter and she left me my very first sewing machine. Thru my journey of motherhood, I would watch youtube tutorials on sewing, fabrics and all things creating. I self taught myself everything I know , and trial and error’d nearly everything. As the sewing company grew so did my curiousity of the fabric world. Where to source fabrics, how they are not all made equally. Imports versus domestic quality. Reactive versus digital printing. The textile industry has captured my attention and passion in so many ways. I launched Audrey+ Biscotti textiles, April 2021, with not really knowing what to expect. I truly was not prepared for the VOLUME of interest we encountered. While also personally developing, growing and raising a young family. Many twists, turns, highs, lows. We expanded into our first commercial space in 2022! This was an exciting time - it was short lived while housing prices sky rocketed and the uncertainty of the cost of our space , continued. In January 2023 I purchased a fixer upper south of High River, with a HUGE LOT. The vision was to build our shop, right on the home front. Construction was another journey of unexpected challenges. We are nearly complete ( in triple the time )! . While this jump, caused a domino effect in the business, it has been such a lesson in faith and determination. With plans unfolding this year of in house production. In the meantime our focus is bringing you beautiful fabrics from two suppliers and unique designs to elevate any sewing project. My true love, is American milled fabrics - we have sources that print for us with PIGMENT PRINTING on the most amazing American milled bases. This is one avenue where we will provide, pre order and retail product. The other is IMPORTED reactive printing from overseas, we will also offer this in pre ordered and retail fabrics.
